Founded 1826 by John Stark.

When John Startk dies in 1837, the dist8illery was aquired by Gunn & Co. In 1852 Thomas Gunn became license holder.

When the distillery went bancrupt in 1861, it was taken over by Rosebank Distillery. The buildings were demolished, except for the maltings, which were used by Rosebank.
